Bikejoring training in Athens.
Bikejoring is a dog sport where one or more dogs run in front of a bike, pulling it forward using bikejoring equipment. Bikejoring is a modern adaptation of traditional dog sledding. In bikejoring, the dogs are attached to mountain bikes using elastic straps and a special bike adapter. You can also participate in other dog sports using bikejoring equipment, such as skijoring and canicross.
Bikejoring is safe for both the dog and the owner with the proper equipment and can be an excellent solution for exercising a high-energy dog. Biking with dogs is a great way to meet their need for physical exercise and mental stimulation. Running can help address issues like separation anxiety, stress, destructive behavior, and boredom. Exercise will also help your dog avoid obesity and improve its overall health.
Additionally, we provide participants in the program with:
- Access to the purchase of specialized Bikejoring equipment.
- Training on safety and health issues during the sport.
Useful information:
- All dogs must be at least one year old (12 months).
- Approval from your veterinarian for the dog’s participation in the training.
- Beginner classes are open to individuals of any fitness level.
- Use of appropriate equipment (waist belt, connecting leash, harness, athletic attire).
- In case of any concerns related to the dog’s behavior and ability to participate in the classes, contact the class trainer immediately.
