An experienced and specialized trainer-behaviorist makes an examination of the dog’s overall behavior. Analyzes the possible effects it has on the dog and its environment, and identifies the reasons that caused or shaped it (e.g. pain, discomfort, anxiety disorder, lack of exercise, mishandling by the owner). Examination and treatment by a veterinarian are suggested immediately, if necessary, and then behavioral management measures, with a specific program, that needs to be followed by the owner.
